Minus 8 masters the whole spectrum of Downbeat, Drum & Bass and Nu-Jazz. There are only a few internationally known DJs, producers and remixers from Switzerland. Robert Jan Meyer, aka Minus 8, is one of them. "Minuit" is Minus 8‘s fourth album, not including his soundtrack for the film "Viktor Vogel - Commercial Man" (2001). And it‘s his second longplayer for the Compost Records. "Minuit" certainly will please the needs of all downbeat and Minus 8 fans.

"The Sun" feat. singer Jillene is a wonderful ambient-jazz track with Fender Rhodes, flute, hammond and guitar. The track "Theia" is more house-influenced, keeping it real with an 80s style Chicago-House piano lick. "A Concha Cor De Rosa" is a 174 bpm Latin Drum & Bass track, heavily influenced by Patife & Marky and John B. New York based singer Billie ("Nobody’s Business", new MAW single) is the star on the wonderful ballad "Sometimes".
