25 years strong and still going steeply. Compost will release an anniversary 10 x 12“ box set early 2019. Here comes the very strictly limited, serially numbered, stickered white label Overture Record 2 sneak preview. Compost classics by Siren, Tomasz Guiddo, Lorenz Rhode remixed by Phil Mison, Gerd Janson and Ewan Pearson. Massive disco stuff!
The box-set will contain more than 30 new remixes of Compost classics by Ron Trent, Michel Cleis, Roman Flügel, Ripperton, François K, Recondite, DJ Spiller, Purple Disco Machine, Lawrence, Tee Mango, Delano Smith, Boo Williams and many many others.... plus some for a long time sold out gems and a few nice gimmicks.
"Michael Reinboth and Compost have been a hugh inspiration for me. Following them brought me to the point to start to produce music and later starting my label Gomma. I was a kid in Munich going to Michael’s partys and thats where i saw tons of great international DJs that inspired me to do a label with a wide rage of musical perspective as well. I think Michael changed the German music landscape and without him German dancemusic universe would be much poorer."
Mathias Modica (Munk, Gomma, Toy Tonics, Kryptox)
“Maintaining the quality of releases this high over 25 years, with such diversity, is very unique and admirable. Always been a fan and supporter of the label since my first encounter with Compost 7 years ago.”
Lex van Aken (Deep House Amsterdam)
"There aren’t many independent labels that have lasted for so long, nor label owners as old as me or with far bigger record collections, but Compost and Michael Reinboth are still here doing what they do so well, keep on keeping on, here’s to the next 25 years!“

There is something ineffably beautiful about this album; the characteristic Buchla, the cover art, the more quiet tunes which seem not sad but instead cute and smart. Great for picking up again and again. tmpr
